Help is provided in the form of tooltips against each table entry. I have avoided cluttering the screen with instructions because after a couple of uses it should be self explanatory. If you think that this isn't enough please let me know.
If you see any red on the screen the CTS hasn't been finalised.
Most inputs are reset when you change a value or enter an invalid value to protect against an incomplete result. To prevet data loss you should take time to get the Passage Details right and you should be vigilant in checking that everything is entered correctly and all cells validated. I'd welcome some feedback on this issue as its a balance between protecting against errors in the final result and ease of use as there's nothing more infuriating than having to re-enter data.
To protect data the menu pages from the Home page open up in a new tab, as do Home pages from the other pages, so beware of having too many tabs open.
This website is not designed to teach calculating a course to steer, only to aid navigators in that task but in the process it is hoped it will help those learning to navigate to understand what they are doing and provide a check. There are plenty of sites which do provide instruction on calculating CTS. Some of these are listed below. As this is outside content and outside my control I cannot vouch for its efficacy and if you think there is a problem please let me know.
